I joined Frenchpod101 after seeing their ads everywhere on the internet. After signing up for a free trial (they charged my VISA card $1.00) and creating a user ID and password (which was confirmed by the company) I find that I cannot access my account at all. When I request "set new password/user ID" the company responded after about a half an hour with a link to a URL that was expired when I first tried to open it. When I use the "contact us" link they do not respond. I signed up for "Beginner French" but the first mailing from them had the link for "Very beginning French." The company did not answer my inquiry as to why I wasn't getting the link for the program I thought I signed up for. I am trying to cancel the free trial but there is no way to reach them. I had to contact my bank and the only way they said I could prevent Frenchpod101 from billing me $25 every month after the trial was for me to get a new Visa account number. Ugh.

In summary, I would not recommend French Pod 101 to a friend.

I sent 2 emails cancelling my subscription giving 2 weeks notice but my account was debited.
i have sent 2 more emails and have had no response to the request for a refund but am bombarded by sales e mails.

In order to post this i had to give at least a one star rating in each category! the rating does not therefore accord with my view.

In summary, I would not recommend French Pod 101 to a friend.
